Efforts to Increase production of construction materials in Florida

Florida, Camagüey, Jan. 30 – The Municipal Housing Directorate in the municipality of Florida is taking actions to revive the main construction materials producing enterprises, given the need to guarantee essential resources for the territory's housing programs.

This was reported by Carlos Osiel Rodríguez Rodríguez, Housing Director in the territory, who explained that the production capacities of these entities are being assessed with the aim of increasing volumes and ensuring the quality of materials.

As part of these strategies, alternatives are being sought through collaboration with new economic actors, which will allow for increased production and a strengthened process.

The official also noted that in the last three years, the municipality has faced a significant resource deficit, especially of cement, which has limited progress in housing construction and the state plan's subsidy program.
